Dealerwise, I had a good experience at Kingsway Toyota. Beyond that, I would recommend heading up to the Napa/Auto Pro in Namao. 97th St north just outside of the city. Most of the guys there are ex military mechanics, so they're not *ALL* out to make profit, and they will actually do the work right.

Hi guys...I'm on an 20 acres east of Sherwood park.
My '09 TRD has been in the body shop for the last 3 weeks getting $8500 hood & fender damage fixed and a ARB bumper installed.
My insurance is helping pay for the rental of 2010 Avalanche in the interim...what a "boat" this thing is...and hardddd on fuel. Be glad to get my Tacoma back... I drove chevy trucks for years...never again !

Yeah. I lived in Victoria when I bought my Taco (2008). I moved back to Ontario September '08 and now in Edmonton. Hopefully end up back in Nanaimo, or somewhere thereabouts on the Island in the next year or two. I LOVE the island. Although, ANYWHERE is better than Ontario!

Any good spots to go wheelin' around here? Anyone up for a meet?

    It's just farmland around Edmtn.
I do alot of coyote hunting cruising backroads and it's fun just being in the country.

I just my TRD out of the body shop last night and after driving an Avalanche for almost 4 weeks from Budget Rentals. Glad the big Chevy is gone...that Flex Fuel engine is a joke, hard on fuel and gutless. There is no ground clearance with the Chevy either...that low front plastic bumper is jst asking for trouble and darn runniing boards that always fill up with crapp.

Reflections Body shop did an outstanding quality job.
There was no politics with them at all....they worked well with the insurance company and on schedule getting it in and gettng it out.

Had an ARB bumper installed in lieu of the plastic bumper.
It looks much better then I dreamed.
Havn't added any fog lamps...too many to choose from.
I'll get a winch someday but would also have to change out the front shocks at same time. Need more planning.

Will take some photos later today.

Nice to see an E-town thread. Ive been living in Vancouver for the last 10 years but was born and raised in the Edmonton area. I am a proud Edmontonian and still consider it my home.
Boco, how long have you lived in Gibbons? I grew up on an acreage just SW, I went to Landing Trail as a young punk.

I feel for you guys and the weather, I moved out to Vancouver for 2 things, better weather and the mountains. If it makes you feel any better I can't ski this weekend because the freezing levels are too high and its raining to the peaks. Oh well I guess Ill just go mountain biking.

North side over here. Good to see a Edmonton thread on this super huge forum. Not many of us but at least we are present.
'Tsenekos' I actually looked at and drove your truck when i was looking for mine. Did you ever sell it ? We should get a e town meet going. There is a few other taco owners that meet up once a month from another forum called. Ct4wd.com. Check it !
