I would really like to get my truck out this spring when I get my license back from my suspension( too many tickets) just wondering if anyone in Alberta would be down for a day long trail ride? I'd like to get out and and meet some other Tacoma owners and see what you guys have done to your trucks and what they can do. I'm from sylvan lake so anywhere east west north or south works for me !

I actually talked to ct4wd about setting up a meet in Sylvan Lake and that way we could get all the Calgary people up and all the Edmonton people down and meet in the middle plus anyone else in that area.

They said they would look into it but I never did hear back. We could always set one up on here though. I would be up for that.

I'm all for setting one up on here, I just threw the website out there to get more people in.

Personally, I feel that the CT4WD people have their own little clique, and outsiders aren't totally welcome.

I have had the opportunity to meet a whole bunch of them at monthly meeting and they have welcomed me and have been nothing but supportive not only with my truck but recent health issues I have had. However that has been my personal experience.

I know being in Edmonton they do not quite get out there as much as they would like but hopefully it grows and you folks in Edmonton can feel more part of the group. At least I hope it does. The more the merrier.:)

I thought it would be a great idea to fill up Lakeshore Drive in Sylvan Lake during the spring/summer full of Toyota's. Something we will have to keep in mind as the weather gets better.

I will talk to a few friends who own restaurants in Sylvan Lake to see how we can go about setting up a show and shine. I am hoping to get this set up in the summer maybe end of July (21 or 28) or maybe even August long weekend. This would be open to any Toyota vehicle and would be a great opportunity to meet other members from around the province.

For those who would like to do a trail run afterwards we can work out those details as well. I will try and see what I can do and get back to you all. Wish me luck.

So I am sure most of you have seen the old car shows that happen with the help of A&W. Well thought I would send them an email and ask what is involved with that and the fact we were trying to set up similar but with trucks. They sent me back an email explaining that it was a good idea but that I should talk to the local franchicee and discuss with them personally.

Also sent an email to the dealership in Red Deer to see if they would somehow like to get involved.

Will not get a chance to make it up to Syvlan Lake until end of April. Keep an eye out for a post after that. Cheers.

This would have to be before July, since I'm being posted out to Halifax then.
