Im having an issue with my drivers side pack (not broken but close). I had to take the spare off the tire gate some where in Iowa as the race and bearings are toast and cadence from the crap roads and the extra weight was causing the already flat packs to make a gnarly clunk from takeoff. I first thought it was the Lefty or the crawler but I had my co-pilot hop out and bingo flat spring pack separation. No worries only 4 more thousand miles left in the trip..:D

Hey all... Thinking of hitting up a trail tomorrow in the foothills some where between boulder and Fort Collins. My truck is pretty much stock. I got a set of duratrac 265/70/17s and a set of btnewmans rock sliders. Other than that it's stock. Any ideas where I could go?? I also like breweries and good food, so I could go for any of the above haha.

Bunce school road or Johnny park. Pole hill is open too but not sure how stock-friendly it is (only because I have never been up there). You have someone to go with you?

That's a negative. Not the smartest idea I know haha but I don't know many people out here yet. Especially not ones who have stock-ish rides haha.

If you choose Bunce be careful, was just up there last weekend, and almost got in 2 head on collisions with side by sides going way to fast. I can assure them they would have lost, but it wouldn't have been fun.

Well you may just need to take a scenic ride that has some fun bumps or something. The Tacoma with sliders and good tires will hang on some pretty good trails so don't sell her short on that. I just get wary of wheeling by myself. I guess of you make sure you are over-prepared (food, water, shelter, clothes) and let several people know where you are going and when you will be back you can mitigate risk and go do something a bit more interesting than a dirt road in the mtns. I think bunce would be safe as long as you don't go bashing through any snow drifts that may or may not be up there still.
