That's what makes things interesting ;) as long as you look the part it counts. I hunt out of Routt county up by steamboat. I have trail camera photos of 3 different great bulls but all outside of shooting light...4:30 in the morning and 8:00 at night like clockwork all season.

Wait you don't Robin Hood it up from 200 yards...Amateur

I'll lob one out there with my .300 :) but I think I'm hunting with my .270 this year.
    Up north west of steamboat.

Nothing wrong with the .270...Just don't use it on coyotes...

    Good luck!

I have some hot hand loads that I'll use on just about anything other than a bear. Only because I care about my life and would use a much larger gun for a bear :)

90gr isn't bad...I still like a smaller hole in them. I shoot a 55gr .223 varmint load that only leaves an entry hole. Less to patch up after they're skinned :D I'm just lazy

Yeah that's where hand loads come in for sure. I want to get a 17hmr just for plinking around. I have to get a larger safe though I'm maxing mine out.

If I had the money and time to load my own stuff I would be all over that. I just have to be picky with my factory loads for now. Check out the Henry .17. I've got the .22 and have shot the .17 and if I wanted one that would be my only choice. my .22 has over 20k rounds through it without a hiccup. it's almost 15 years old and still is my favorite gun to shoot.

We should get a CO TW Coyote hunt set up this winter...

    I would be down!

Wait for the web site www.customammosuply.com to go live. My buddy is finishing up building the web site and he is located in Littleton. You will be able to order custom ammo from him you can spec it or have him help you.

That's awesome! Thanks for the heads up!

Might have to start a thread on that one...I do most of my coyote hunting in Wyoming but we could put together a meet n greet and do an all day tournament for fun or something. Anybody else want to chime in here? CO coyote hunters where are you??

Sweet. That'll be awesome. Now I don't have to hunt down light .243 loads for my other coyote gun :D

    Waiting semi- patiently

    22-250 for yotes.

Back in the day you could get $100-150 for a pair of ears from the wyoming ranchers. Pretty sure thats a thing of the past though.

At the time, the 22-250 was the flattest shooting cartridge in the world. Don't know if that still holds true or not
