    Whats the performance like for those LT's at the higher altitude? Not quite sure what I'm gonna have to do (if anything) bringing my truck from sea level to 5000 ft.

    No difference. My coilovers perform just the same as they did at 1100ft above sea level. I'm at 9000+ now.

    LT=long tube not long travel

    they performed great while off-roading up in central city that is ~8500ft

    you'll notice that our regular octane here is 85 versus most lower elevations that are 87...i know i use 87 regularly, 85 runs too rough...

    jeff, did you have any performance issues going from 1100->9000k? i'm up in the mtns most every weekend i don't notice much difference but jeff lives up there so he'd have a better grasp on the effect of the altitude on tacos

    HA sorry.
    It's not too bad. There is certainly a difference but I can mostly only tell on the highway when going up any hill. Even around town I mostly run in 4th out of overdrive up here at 9000. I always use premium gas.

    Intially I won't really be any higher then you Bob, just moving to the Ft. Collins area. Yea out regular here is 87, but we have terrible gas (no pun intended) its treated before its put on the barge and then it collects water and algea...I run Lucas Oil injector cleaner thru about every 4-5 fill ups to keep shit clean.

    just google map'd where kodiak is in alaska and i see why it's difficult to get things there...as if being in alaska wasn't hard enough you had to live on an island off the coast of alaska...

    i'd say if you keep up with the 87 octane you shouldn't have any issues...you notice some power loss on the high passes but not too bad, i notice it a lot more on my motorcycle when i hit the higher elevations than in my truck

    Where in Colorado? In the Springs they got rid of emissions testing several years ago. Still have to do it in Denver and the Northern Front Range though.
