Damn you Justin!! :p All good though. We will have to get out and do some snow bashing soon.

Speaking of snow bashing, it looks like it is either going to rain or snow in BV on Sunday. Is everyone up for running it in the snow and/or rain?

I was actually just coming in here to bring this up. It looks like it should not be a lot of accumulation (but we are in CO, so that can change very quickly), but any additional slipperiness on this trail could make for a long day on an already fairly challenging trail. Would moving to Saturday work for everyone?

    I actually like Saturday better....

So about this trail... am I virtually guaranteeing body damage? Or with some good spotting do I stand a chance of making it through unscathed?
I'm not going to slit my wrists if I get a scratch or anything, but I also don't let the boy chuck hammers at my truck either.

    Saturday it is!

Haha, nice analogy! There is really only the one spot that you have a "good" chance of a scrape, the spot previously mentioned, and with good spotting and maybe some stacking, it can be greatly minimized.

It's gotta be closer to 3 than 4 for you. Solid 3 hours for me, but at least I don't have interstates or traffic to deal with :p

I'll be at the Christmas For Kids event Saturday. It's not often you get to ride in a rock racing buggy. It's totally epic.

I'm getting the feeling that some people are trying to, if not talk me out of going, at least prepare me for what they feel is inevitable body damage.....

I've always been fine with just sliders. Though I haven't ran it in a couple years.

I get that same feeling. Looks like an awesome trail but pretty serious wheeling there.

^I've never run this trail, but I know that SteezeMcQueen as well has a bunch of others on RM4x4 have run it. So far, none of them has gotten any body damage. I think the key is picking a good line. I know I'll have spotters if I feel there is any chance of bumping something. I haven't ever gotten any body damage wheeling and I don't want to start now!

sliders and good spotting you should be fine

1st gens will be better off than 2nd gens

just keep an eye on the ass of the 2nd gens on the squeeze

take your time and don't rush through the obstacles

aftermarket skid plate would be nice too but not necessary if you are careful (spotting)

if you can't make the fun lines, take the easy lines...most obstacles have multiple line options, so don't rush into it and choose the right one for you.

the squeeze i think is the main obstacle that has limited line options.

and keep an eye out for rocks on the sides, they tend to sneak up on you if you're not paying attention :spy:

if you are having issues leading up to the squeeze and feel uncomfortable...find a spot to pull off and hop in with somebody
