With the epic snowfall that we have had here in CO this winter im gonna say you wont get to far even on Yankee Hill area, those are some super tight trees and will shade any snow that has fallen, Plenty of wench points though!

Have fun guys, i think those choices are to high in snow territory and will be a bust

usually this is a great link to check out on conditions too, last post for yankee hill was 5/27/13 so you still got a few months at least before stuff that high in the state will start opening up.

I know how you feel! This time of year is so frustrating. For what it's worth, you are looking at great trails. We just got hammered with snow this year and trails are, on average, still closed at this time normally. Get a few days off in a row and just go to Moab, the desert is ready to wheel! Or go south to NewMex. I have seen some pretty sweet trail reports from down there already this year.

Maybe it's a sign I need to work on rocksliders

    I was thinking:

Would it be benefiical to have another thead dedicated to BSing about trail runs? Sometimes the BS thread just has too much BS to talk about stuff like that.

Kinda like a plan/talk about trails thread. And leave this one only for organized events.

This might as well be the BS thread and maybe we need a new offical "Hard Dates and Planning" thread.

If it's discussion about trail runs & meets it belongs here. If it's pictures (and some discussion) af5er a run it goes in the trail report thread (although I happen to believe the two should be combined personally as they're basically the same conversations). If it's anything else it's the BS thread. The last thing we need is a THIRD thread to discuss trail runs since there's already two.

Yeah, I guess that makes more sense.

If everyone's good with that, I can thow that other thread togeather. Something like "Planned Colorado Trail Runs" and use it only for events that are set, and happening.

This thread could be used to talk about trails, gather/gauge interest on a possible trail run, and other Colorado offroad BSing.

I think that makes more sense than sending people over to the BS thread even though it's still trail talk.

I'm fine with this thread still as long as it's pertaining to trail runs mainly. It'd be tough to keep up with another one and even tougher for new people to follow along. If I plan something I usually just keep bumping it to the next page so people don't have to keep digging.
