I am looking for someone local to the Aurora Colorado to help out with a relief effort for the victims of the Theater shooting that happened. I don't entirely know what I am doing but have worked with international relief organizations and red cross before. If someone local could get in contact with Red Cross or some other legitimate organization and let us know how we can make donations or where locals can give blood etc that would really help expedite things. If anything, perhaps a trustworthy member from here could begin taking donations over paypal or something and take it down to help out. I know it is early and things haven't solidified as to what we can do yet but it would be great if we could get some TacomaWorld contribution going.

Any info would be great to help organize this effort. I am willing to do whatever I can to make this happen and a few other members have already expressed the same, we just need to get organized and make it happen.

    Anyone?

They have really not stated about funds and sources yet and what thy need. I'm sure in the up comming days things will pop up. I know one family as stated by 9 news was going to set up a memorial fund.

Agreed that this is an excellent thread. I would also like to add that for those who are too far away to directly donate blood, you should consider doing it locally anyway. You could always just say that you were doing it out of respect for those affected by this tragic event. Blood is always needed, and it is always a good thing to do.
I may not have a lot of money, but please, if you have a good donation set up, let us know. I will gladly donate what I can.
