The way it was cut, I can only assume a mine shaft, but it was filled in just beyond the shadows and had a pool of water coming up out of it. I just loved all the color going on there with the green slime, the and the yellow orange mud. That trail has some of the best colors I have seen in CO, it was amazing.

Anyone want to go run this again, sometime within the next month or before the snow starts flying?

It was cool going down it after I split off for you guys, but after the switch backs it wasn't terribly exciting, fun, but not nearly as cool as Red Cone. But, it is always cool to check out new trail.

Did you guys come down St Johns or Deer Creek after Radical?

The first rock obstacle you might drag your belly a bit, the first pic in the woods above, but other than that I think you would probably be OK.

Wishbones pics inspired me to try Argentine on Saturday. I keep whoring pics out but it was an awesome place to go adventuring. Hail storm at the top and rain all the way down was not as radical.

Awesome pics, your sig pic one is my favorite. Let the whoring continue, we only get a few months a year to access these incredible places, and as you mentioned, inspire others to get out there as well.

Deer Creek I believe. The sign had been shot and my reference books were old. I really need to update those books. Nothing exciting on Deer Creek. St. John's I believe has a fun uphill section before it goes back down?

Yup, Deer creek would have been the first turn after getting to the top of Radical, where as St Johns continues for a bit and then goes right over a long ridge before dropping back into Montezuma.

Run up twin cone, 6 in our group. Taking the harder lines this trail is a fun one. I got a little Nancy on the last of the hard lines because after watching Nate and Austin i decided no thanks.

Looks a lot different than last year when I went through there. It appears a bunch of those rocks have slid down the hill.
