I saw a coupon in Motor Trend to try Eagle One Gel Wax for free. If you clip out the coupon and send it in with your receipt they'll send you a rebate for the purchase price, up to $10.

This week at Advance Auto, they have it on sale for just $4! I bought two at that price.

I haven't tried the stuff yet, but they claim its easier to use and less work than regular wax, and most importantly it won't discolor plastics. I have a habit of getting wax everywhere :)

I took advantage of this coupon about a month ago. Since then I've applied the wax to my wife's Civic and my Taco. It's super easy to apply, I'd say slightly easier than a liquid wax. There's only two key things to remember - don't let lit dry and use a microfiber clots to remove it. I learned both of these lessons the hard way, but after learning from my mistakes I was VERY pleased with the results.
