Are the elite versions worth the extra coin? Two extra years of warrenty seems worth it.

Since I added a large aluminum angle piece to my tailgate top, it is much heavier and harder to let down slowly and to close.

I have been looking for a "tailgate assist" of some type ... but these will ONLY fit 2005 through 2007 Tacomas ...
