I personally ran this locker in my '08 Tacoma and it worked perfectly. The installer said that it went in with ease. I ran the airline myself up to the compressor in the engine compartment along the driver's side frame rail, and would recommend using fuel hose over the entire airline to protect it from wear and damage.

How reliable are these? Strong? Can they take big hits?

We personally run them on our own trucks as well. They are not anodized like the Spidertrax/Bora, but aluminum is naturally corrosion resistant. We are simply able to sell these and other items on this thread at discounted prices since we buy in quantity and can pass on the volume savings.
