this is the second time i have taken advantage of this deal, honestly you cant beat it. i just bought a set of wheels and tires and saved $400 and sales tax ontop of it.

^^agreed, I got my nittos on my last tacoma for dirt cheap because of this deal. The fist americas tire I always went to the guy was being an ass about the deal and saying discount tire doesnt even have an ebay page. Every other location had no problem.

 

I noticed that on my eBay watch list. I also noticed they jacked up the prices by $136 when they offered this new "rebate." I was watching some Cooper AT3's at $580 for the set. Now they're suddenly $716.

 

I was looking at the ST maxx as well in 255/80/17 and they're 208ea shipped. Seems they were cheaper before this deal but I can't remember

 

I spoke to a manager at my local discount shop and he said they would match the prices on eBay.

 

The best thing to do is go in to your local store, get a quote, and then show them the $100 off ad on your phone or print it out.

 

yeah this is pretty good sounding, lol. $200 off a set of 4.

 

But guys, they jacked up the list price before offering this "savings." It's just a perceived value to the consumer.

Thanks for the heads up. Just purchased a set of new tires. Called my local discount tire & they would not price match. Oh well, at least they'll still install them though.

 

Good deal here, I got my rims and tires last year for $300 off. I ended up doing 3 different checkouts

What was the price before the perceived discount? Evidence man!

 

I did the same thing today and showed them the ad. My discount tire would also not match. This is a "third party" discount tire as he explained it to me. You are able to take the tires to your discount tire and he would mount and balance them for $16.00/tire. Said the standard warranties with discount tire will also apply.

I just order me a set and saved about $196 after I added the mounting. The tires I bought would have been a special order anyways for the store, so it did not really matter to me.

 

I mentioned it in a previous post. I was watching some Coopers at $580+ a $40 rebate, free shipping Saturday. I log into eBay Monday and the price changed to $716 and an image mentioning $170 in rebates.

 

Bout to pull the trigger on 2 pairs of 2 BFG KO2s 265/75/16, $406 /pair, $100 off each pair makes that $612 for 4 tires. That's a good deal!


Edit: Well damn, now I'm thinking of going with some 265/75 Cooper Discover ATP instead in a P rating.. Can get a set of 4 for $374 after rebate!!, they'll see only road use as my 255/85 KOs are my trail tires..

i only got one question. Cooper's or Hankook's??
