New exhaust system under $400

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody has any good deals for a dual exhaust system for my 09 4x4 4cyc Taco. I would like a really deep throaty sound for the cheapest price possible, because I'm a poor high school student.

 

You can probably find a good Flowmaster 40 set up if you bide your time and look around. I just bought a Flowmaster 50 (just muffler) for $95 shipped to my door.

Me, too. Though I haven't installed it yet. I have never done a muffler before, so I am a bit nervous.

 

get the flowmaster 40 thats what i have and its a nice deep throaty sound. i love mine

What type of exhaust or muffler should I get if I want a real throaty growl type sound rather than a fast and furious tuner???

 

Not much of a deep throaty sound out of a 6cylinder.....

Close....but not what I'd consider 'deep'

 

has anyone heard a flowmaster 40 and 50 in real life? the video clips have crap audio, and im trying to decide between the two. looking for that deep sound. realistically what is the difference between the two?

 

I've heard the 40 series is louder than the 50 almost to the "obnoxious point." I've got the 50 series delta flow am pretty pleased.

 

get an 18 inch magnaflow muffler and have it welded in....i n place of the stock filter....good flow and sound, and it'll be relatively cheap.

 

Where is the "stock filter?"

 

i have a super 44 muffler on my truck.. had the 2.5" outlet cut and had a 3" dump pipe put in and it is obnoxiously loud. if you want to set off car alarms thats your muffler of choice. got it at autozone for 79.99
