    1. Food- I have to eat anyway. It is only a matter of whether I eat in CA or AZ- no additional cost there

    2. Time- how do you account for that? I would not take time off work to go, so I would not be missing out on any wages.

3.Wear and tear on truck- Another intangible... maybe monetary amount of expected wear and tear/miles driven? The truck has 6500 miles on it so I am not concerned with wear and tear.

GUYS- I am not saying Demello are not great sliders, I know they are.

As JC said- this was all taken care of via PM.

Believe me, if I had the money, I would go with Demello Rock Crushers. There is no need trying disprove my numbers, as I have run them over and over again and still get the same result. I would rather have Demello, but financial circumstances are preventing me from spending the additional $243 that I need to pay bills.

Seriously skip out on lunch for a week at work, pay your comcast bill late and get the Demello sliders. You will be happier in the long run. :)

Yeah, if you can hold off thats what I would do.

Do you know if Avid's weld on's can be used with a hi-lift jack or support the weight of the truck? There bolt-on's say they aren't designed to hold the weight of the truck.

Awesome, I called this morning and he thinks mine will be sent over to the powdercoater in the next day or so and be ready in a week.

I gotta wait until the next 20% off sale now :(. I guess the rock crushers add quite a bit of weight, but they are worth it because of how sweet they look.

Avid's weld-ons can support the truck. Bolt ons: absolutely not. They are bolted to the running board holes, so it just a sweet looking set of running boards.

Cool, I was on the fence between the Rock Crushers and the Hybrid but went with the Hybrid. I preferred the look of the Hybrid because they had a tilt where the Rock Crusher went straight out.

I really think its worth it for the Demello sliders, I searched and searched and never found anything that I considered negative about them. The wait was the only thing, but good things come to those who wait :)

We do realize the wait is a factor for folks. Some shops right now, not sayin' who (I'm a professional like that), will tell you 6 months for a bumper. The time involved in the construction of this stuff is more than most people realize. On top of everything else, you guys gotta keep in mind, we have a whole other set of customers over in the FJ world that love our stuff too. They keep us as busy as you Taco owners do.

I'm a long time Taco owner myself, even survived a roll over in my first Taco ever (a white, '99, 4cyl mini), so I try to make the best product I can. We've had senior guys in the past try to get me to skimp on stuff and work faster. Now I'm the senior employee and surprise, surprise ...stuff looks F***in' good now.

All you guys currently waitin', you'll get your goodies in good time. It'll be worth it when people come up to you in parking lots and ask you about your sliders or whatever else you order from us.

And thanks again to everyone that ordered. You're keeping a partially disabled veteran gainfully employed in a very rough economy :proposetoast:

Agreed! The quality of the sliders is amazing (I ordered the standard weld-on ones) -- holy crap! My roommate (who is not into trucks, etc.) texted me before I got home to see them and said they looked bad-ass.

demello offroad gets the  in my book!

Glad you liked 'em! Bare metal is the true test coz if I make it look like crap, there's no powder coat to cover it up. A sand rail builder once told me, "a good powder coater can make a bad welder look great".

    Thanks again;

I got my sliders today and they look awesome, well except for some scratches. It looks like UPS dragged them behind the truck all the way to Texas. I'm not worried about it though, I'll scratch them up soon enough.

They seem very well made and heavy as hell!

Here is my question though. Can you tell me how these line up to the frame? Do the two legs that are close together go towards the back? The reason that I ask is I put them up against the frame and two of the brackets fit flush against the frame, but the other two would not as the slider was hitting the rear fender flare.

I'm sure its something I'm doing wrong, but the sliders do say "wrong length" on them. Is there a story behind that?

I want to figure this out before painting them. Thanks.

Well I told you I was an idiot, lol. They were on stands, so I think they were at an angle or something. I tried them again, and they are fine. Sorry for the false alarm.

We're still building from the last one. We ran a sale on FJ and 4Runner stuff at the same time so we are stacked right now. Jason has the final say on sales and prices so call or email the man himself if you want.

    Off to work with me!

they're on! and they look great! :woot: took the shop 1.5 hours for prep and welding and i'm extremely happy with the look and strength. all the guys at the shop were impressed with the build quality of the sliders!

there's a few nicks in the paint on my sliders (i had to move 'em before they were really dry this weekend because it started raining), but that'll be easy to touch up this weekend.

Big thanks to Demello Offroad for the forum discount!
