Gasket Renew

This is actually a question about my scion.

My sunroof whistles when I drive- Not every time, but after I leave it closed for a while and then open it....When I close it next it whistles.

Do I need a new gasket?? Is there an oil or anything that I can rub on the gasket to clean/re-vitalize them??

Thanks guys/gals!!
