Dealing With Panel Scratches?

Long story short my panel below the environmental controls got scratched up some during a headunit install. Is there a good way to get those scuffs out?

Not easily. Depending on how deep they are, some 0000 steel wool can remove some scuffs, but, you run the chance of changing the texture of the plastic. I've used this method on door panels, door sills and seat trim before with good results.

about all you can do short of replacement is clean up the damage.

If the plastic is gouged and there is/are plastic curls and/or rough edges use an exacto (NEW) blade and trim till the scratch/gouge edge is smooth and, perhaps, bevel the edge slightly so that it blends as best as it can.

any abrasive buffing will damage the surrounding area and change the texture/color slightly. try on an are not noticable.
