    so i split a big ass soda in my truck today because toyota thought it would halarious to make square cup holders........can anyone tell me how to remove the leather shift boot and the trim thats around it so i can clean the mess up. its a 2000 xtra cab 4x4

    Alpine deck and amp, Polk speakers front and rear, Kenwood subwoofer, windows tinted to 20%, Sockmonkey decals, TSB, Eibach springs and Bilstein 5100's
    There are 2 screws holding the console to the front trim piece, and inside of the console, on the bottom, I think you'll find a single screw holding it to the center hump. It should be fairly easy to take the whole console out and wash everything up. You'll have to remove the shift knob too, if I recall. Been a few years since I took mine apart.

    Yes, you should be able to unscrew it by hand. I never liked those square cupholders either! You might be able to cut a piece of foam or something to make things a little more stable.

    ya i have been tryin to figure out a way to install REAL cup holders.....i dont know about you but i dont own any square cups
