Same with me. But i just put some cardboard behind the tire to cover the breaks. It seemed to work fine.

if you didn't do 4/5 coats on this (I did about 2 coats both front and back ones), you will start to see wear where the plastic is a straight edge from washing (I take mine to the washer that has those rubber slapper strips, doesn't hurt the dip at all).

Lowes and Home Depot have the matte black ones only. Ace hardware can get you the diff colors, but you have to order them in. :(

PlastiDip'd my stock rims today. Turned out pretty good imo. Did make a few mistakes (dropped a lug and got a tiny nick, pulled extra dip too quickly on the valve and pulled too much off) but I live how easy it is to paint things with this stuff.

Just did mine two weeks ago. Do 4 or 5 coats. The thicker the overspray is, the easier it is to peel off. Also use a needle or something to score around the letters to help peel away too.

Just did this mod Friday night. I love it BUT I'm no graffiti artist that being said it looks like a $5/rim paint job lol. But I like it so it doesn't bother me any!

    Yes
No need to remove them when using plasti-dip. just mask around the badges, spray and peel around them after it dries.

Did mine on the truck. Did a couple of thin layers to start and finished with a couple of thick. Peeled off easy. Used a toothpick and tweezers to work out the middle of letters.

don't use a needle, you'll scratch up the paint. with enough coats, a tooth pick is all you will need.

Plasti-dipped all of my badges (check my pics) and also the Toyota emblem. Very easy, very cheap. Like everyone said.. toothpick in between the letters and you're golden. There's no need to etch around the letters if you do 4+ coats.

You press the needle against the "tape" that's between the truck and letters.

If you tape it off and use enough coats the plasti-dip peals all around the letters. Just need to also make sure it dries well, as well lol...

yup, comes off juts like tape (sounds like it also), but a tooth pick will do enough so you can nudge in the gaps where you need to so you can pick out the rest like you did on the outer areas.
