People say wd-40 makes it peal easier but i have no experience with that method. I used a wet q-tip to rub it off my emblem when i redid it

Dipped my rear bumper and grill about 1 and a half years ago. It held up so well I decided to do my wheels. [IMG]

CRAP. How am I gonna dip both the truck and emblems? In another thread someone said the emblems won't stick back on a dipped surface if I remove them.

Remove all emblems, dip the truck, dip the emblems, reapply the emblems to the truck. Thats what i would do :)

Just a few expensive & DIY things...

I thought the same thing, I tried to spray over the lugs and removed wheel weights....

It just peels off and looks like crap.
You'll need to smooth the peeling derp and try again.

I'm just going to peel it all off and go at it again.

i just used real spray paint on my lug nuts, that's always worked out for me. And I just sprayed over the wheel weights as best as I could

Pulled into the parking lot at a local park yesterday and of course I had to park nose-to-nose with the other taco. Mine on the left with plasti-dipped wheels and bumper, and de-badged. The other one is how I started.

I'm such a dork I got all giddy when I saw that the spot in front of the other one was open :D

You can see the dog in my truck looking at me wondering why he isn't out playing yet.

Question about dipping whole truck, do you remove fenders? I'm asking because I'm seeing that little piece of rubber trim between the two sections and it looks like a problem area.

It's all preference. Some people like the matte look and some don't. Try both and see what you like. for me, i think i'll go with the glossy look.:)

Blaze Blue Derp'd my shackle yesterday. Turned out pretty good.

Here it is drying right after the final coat. I'll have to get one of the finished product later

I don't think that will hold up well, it will be chaffing at the connection point and guessing it will start to peel. Interested to see how it holds up. that blue really POPS!
