...and i am in awe that you would even consider taking on such a manly task, you know, with a uterus and all.

In truth, I hardly consider it 'manly'. Merely an observation of how soft kids are today.

fortunately my hot water heater is in my garage so I hook my hose up to the water heater. I use that to rinse the truck and fill the bucket. I don't use rubber gloves, I just keep my hands in the bucket when they get cold.

or I go to the drive thru touchless car wash if it's open.

I didn't see it mentioned, but diving gloves would keep your hands warm. I've never used mine for washing the car, but diving in frigid waters I don't get cold hands.

I use a brush like the one pictured below. I never have to touch the water. I use a small brush for the wheels and tires.

If you could would you post up a review after you use them a couple of times? I might invest is a pair myself. I installed a water outlet in the garage a few years back and keep a hose connected all year.

Will do. I was also in Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday and they had a fleece lined, neoprene set of gloves that went almost to the elbow. they might work as well.

Just today..I ran mine through the touch-less car wash. After I got home...I got the water hose...sprayed under carriage and whole truck. Pulled it in my heated garage and with two micro-fib towels dried her off.....
Got it nice and clean for the snow we are suppose to get on Christmas..

Still no pics, but I got these NRS Maverick paddling gloves. Cheaper neoprene form the sporting goods store would have worked nicely, but the wife got these form. me for Christmas. Haven't tried them yet, it is raining here this weekend, no sense washing anything.
