Wax-As-U-Dry?

Anybody here have experience with this spray-on stuff, and does it really work? if so, which is the best brand to use?

 

I've tried several and sell one brand that's not labeled as a 'wax as you dry', but you can use it that way.

I recommend doing a 'quick dry'; get the bulk of the water off and then apply the spray wax.

There's nothing really magical to the wax; its water-based instead of solvent-based, so it mixes with the water that remains on the vehicle. It works pretty well and is a time saver. If you have zero wax on yur car, I would recommend a full dry first as the water thins the wax out a tad. But if you're doing periodic waxes, it works fine.

I use wax as you dry everytime I wash my truck. Great stuff (eagle one). Let me make it clear that using too much will streak and if there is too much water on the vehicle it will streak.

The best way I've found to use it is to wash your vehicle, drive down the road say 1/4-1/2 mile and come back, then use product with a good clean chamois. The drive will also get the water out of hard to dry spots like between bumper and headlights, hood scoop, and around mirrors.

The product is by no means a replacement for a normal wax job but it is a great way to reduce how much you need to do a real wax job your car. I still wax mine 2x per year but I used to do it 3 or 4x.

 

It works pretty well for what it is. I use the Eagle One wax-as-you-dry stuff on my truck. It's not a good as true hand wax but it does look nice when you're done and takes a lot less time. I spray it on after I rinse the truck and use microfiber towels to wipe it and dry the truck. As mentioned above, chamois will work also. With any chamois or wipe on product, make sure the truck is CLEAN! Any dirt that's still on the truck can get rubbed in and scratch the paint.
