I will be giving some rep to the OP for recommending this product.

I just used it for the first time yesterday and I can say, that so far, it has been the easiest and cleanest tire shine I have used to date. I can't speak for longevity yet, but with as little time as it takes to apply, I don't really care how long it lasts.

As to the question about UV protection, according to Meguiar's site, it does provide UV protection - http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G15524

I got mine at Advanced Auto Parts for $8.99 and picked up two of the cheap foam applicator pads for $1.79 each.

    Great product!

...sorry, truck's no where clean now. And like I said above, I broke my bottle, so I don't have any anyway. :(

Why would you even want a high gloss finish on truck tires?

I don't like a high-gloss shine on any vehicle's tires. I prefer just slightly shinier than what a tire looks like when it is brand new and perfectly clean. More of a satin look.

But to each his own; I'm just trying to gauge where this product stands. Maybe I'll just buy a bottle and find out. :D

BTW if you are trying to remove old tire dressing and road grime, 409 and a stiff brush works very well. Just make sure to wax your wheels when you are done as 409 strips the wax off.

I actually don't like a high gloss on the tires, which is exactly why I went with this stuff.

I'll be washing my truck in the next few days and will try to snap a few pics.

    Build page to begin soon...
Finally got around to detailing the truck. Here's a pic of what I use and a pic that shows the type of shine. Again, the gel lasts a couple of weeks, doesn't fly off like silicone, and is really easy to apply.

(You'll notice I missed the bottom near the rim, which I soon after patched up)

    Definitely great stuff!

I'll be detailing mine this weekend - of course, it will rain just afterwards, thanks to the typical daily rain shower here in Florida.

I use to swear by Stoners More Shine Less Time, but now I swear by this stuff:

It's damn near impossible to find, but my neihbor can get it for free. He already gave me a couple cases. Gives the tires a deep black look with a hint of shine. Oh, and it smells like cotton candy :D
