I think you can use WD40. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Just be sure to clean the WD off real well.

I've used Goo Gone for debadging, removing the factory pinstripes, and window tint adhesive. I like the stuff.

I would avoid using a scraper as it can leave scratches, use a microfiber towel that you can toss after. If there is still some adhesive on the truck after you got the majority of it off I would use an auto clay bar and some quick detailer.

cant you use a blow dryer to heat it up the adhesive and it might help a tad bit?

Goo-Gone sucks...I have never had that stuff work.

Get a plastic putty knife and some WD-40. I know others said the putty knife might leave small scratches but you need to get the foam tape off first before you tackle the adhesive.

You are just trying to get rid of the foam tape, not the adhesive, dont try and scrape it all the way down to the paint.

After you get most of the foam tape off, WD-40, a terry cloth towel, and some elbow grease should remove most of the adhesive residue.

I did all this on my Ram to remove the fading door trim. Took a lot of time, elbow grease, and patience. Not sure if it will hurt but I did even use alcohol, mostly afterwards to clean it up.

Oh and let the WD or Goo Gone soak should help too.
