Fender Flares

What's the best product to use on the fender flares and bumper skirt to make them look "new" again.

Need to touch them up on my new to me Taco.

 

Kiwi black shoe polish is what I use.

 

RE-paint them, powdercoat them, line-x them

or just use mothers back to black, which wont last very long.

Most products that you use to renew them will only last for a little while. There are products like Back to Black etc. but it will be a monthly effort to keep them nice. Back to Black is supposed to last 6 months, but it does not. My flares were factory painted (color keyed), but I repainted them just to be a little different. In my opinion that's the best long-term solution.

The heat gun method does not work well. It doesn't look uniformed at all. I tried it and I thought it looked good up close but once you take a step back it doesn't look good at all.
