Dylon, i have searched. I also know asking folks that have done it before is the best way to get info. Hence the forum. My grille is just the stock plastic chrome. I am looking to go black to match other mods that i have done

I just used some made for plastic spray paint. First I sanded with fine grit sandpaper, then 2 coats of primer and the spray paint. it came out pretty good. Mine was chrome but had another member paint it black when I had the black truck. So I don't know what he did to cover the chrome. But I'm sure It will work if you primer and sand a bit.

Flat black? Good, not chrome. I had a problem getting my paint to stick with chrome. Just sand it down to roughen up the surface, then hit it with 3M adhesion promoter. Then paint to your liking.

Sorry for being a dick earlier.
