Hey guys I was just about to go and clean the inside of my truck and remembered I'm out of the toyoguard interior cleaner.. I really liked that stuff and was wondering what products you guys are using.. I have armor all but I don't reall want a shiny surface. I just want something to clean it and keep it looking factory clean.. None of the shiny non sense

    Thanks- nick

I assume your talking about the dash? How dirty is it? I usually only have dust on my dash, so I just wipe it down with a damp towel.

Ya dash, I just wipe off the dust, It still looks new. I also vacuum off the dust around the radio, vents, steering wheel with a brush attachment on my shop vac. Door panels, if for some reason get more than normal dust, I just use some windex Multi surface, and than cleans it pretty nice. I'm sure anything will work fine. Since you don't want shine. I don't like the shine either.

    +1 for 303.
I used to buy mine online... need to get more, I haven't messed with detailing in years.

Armorall does make a non-gloss formula now.

As far as cleaning the plastic of the gauge cluster i highly recommend Meguiar's Mirror Glaze 17 Clear Plastic Cleaner on a micro fiber towel. If you touch the plastic with a regular rag i guarantee it will scratch.

Has anyone had problems or noticed the color coming off your interior side panels or dash when applying any of this 'protectant?'

Unless someone has painted the parts, most are molded color-through. This would be the case for the tan, grey, and charcoal parts.
The silver parts are painted, and some of the black buttons are (the hazard button is actually red, with a coat of black, and then a thin coat of silver on the silver-trim trucks).

303, Armorall, and other protectants won't soften or remove paint. You have to be careful with other cleaners such as Simple Green (generally pretty gentle)... 409 WILL tear up the silver, and I've had "Fantastik" permanently spot a windshield on my '69 Buick.

For 90% of interior grime, all you need is something wet with a mild surfactant to break the surface tension of the water. Most of what we encounter is simply dust, and the occasional sneeze or cough "residue"... and those clean up just fine with a damp cloth.

The areas that will need a bit more, such as the door panels, arm rests, sill plates, and kick panels, are molded through and are going to be impervious to anything that won't melt the plastic. Simple Green, or Dawn are good, safe detergents.

    The 303? Never.

All I do is moisten a microfiber towel with 303 and wipe down all the interior trim, weatherstripping, etc...

    Looks brand new

i use meguairs natural shine on my plastics and......... Baking soda on my floor boards!!!! believe it or not lightly powdering the floors and letting it sit for 15 minutes really deoderizes the interior!!! just dont sprinkle in to much or it can be a pain to get out!!

Don't use armor all. I used it for about two years on a truck and it made a little of a yellowish tint on the gray plastic.

Although it was a ford ranger bahaha

Meguires Natural Shine! Last and last and last......not a greasy shiny finish. One application of natural shine then dust it when needed. I hear great things about 303 as well. I wouldn't let Armour all near my truck.

x10 or whatever. Great results on my 09 showing signs of aging on the outside rubber.

I use the "303 vinyl and fabric cleaner" on the interior maybe once to twice a year as a general deep cleaning and then use the "303 protectant" at every general cleaning (two weeks) after wiping away dust/loose dirt. I use a very little amount of the protectant inside with a micro fiber cloth only.

Bought mine (best price at the time) at a local West Marine shop. I also, and this is just personal practice, use color coded microfiber cloths with each having it's dedicated purpose. ie. blue ones are used for windows/glass, orange ones for protectant, green for cleaner, etc. That way I'm not risking bringing in outside harsh particles from protecting the outside which may scratch up the interior surfaces.

I had a general picture or two on my build page of a "before" and "after" of the external of my truck (rubber areas) from the first time I used the 303 protectant.
