    how hard would it be to match silver to silver without buying the factory silver for my truck? would clay baring it after painting the flares help blend? o_O any ideas. the factory paint seems pretty steep. :(

    i got duplicolor color match paint in spray cans from autobarn.com. was about $8 per can.

    can you notice the difference between the paint easily? also did you remove the flares when painting? <-- would assume so but not a painter.

    i actually havent used it yet. going to be painting the rear bumper on my 2nd gen tomorrow. from what ive heard its the exact color of the truck so there is no difference. its mixed with the color code provided by toyota. ill let you know when its done and post pics

    here is is. (in black sand pearl) its as close as it gets to a match. i think a silver would probably match easier.

    Sorry man, not to sound like a dick, but what you're looking to do just really isn't feasible. Keep in mind, that the flares on our rigs are textured plastic, so they'll always look a little different than the steel panels they're adjacent to.

    That said, if you're not looking for a perfect match, maybe the rattle-cans will work for ya...

    You could also replace the front fenders with glass.
