Faded Trim

Ok I have a question with my Black trim. I know they say you can use the back to black on it to bring it back to shine. But Ive heard once you start using it when it starts to fade off it makes it look even worse than it does now!! Is that true or are there any other recommendations?

 

Get them painted?

what trim are you talking about specifically?

If it's vinyl then you can you should use vinyl dye. It's permanent and won't fade (at least for several years)

If it's dense plastic, then sand, prime and paint (specifically for plastics)
