ICE liquid clay bar

I got some today. Awesome stuff! anyone else used it??

 

i tried it before, and i dont like it near as much as the regular clay bars and lube...............but it is easy to use.

 

well it does the job, but you do have to wash the truck to take it off. Instead of just rinsing it.

 

Which brand of clay bar do you guys & ladies recommend?

 

I use Meguiars Clay Bar & Quick Detailing spray for lube... works good for me

 

x2 on the meguiars..Came out soo clean. I love it

 

ICE is awesome too

 

I tried the ICE.

Needed more elbow grease to get it smooth.

I found the original clay bar with the lube spray to still be the best way to go.

 

YEah thats true. But you bond with your truck more haha. it is really watery

 

I'm afraid all the extra rubbing with the ICE may make my truck bond to me, then have separation anxiety when I park her.

so i need to use clay bar even tho i wax using maguires?
what does it do that is better/different then a normal wax and polish.

the website for the clay bar pretty much says its for scratches and the like.
right/wrong?

 

using a clay bar actually removes any contaminants in the paint. so in detailing, after washing...this is a first step. then next you polish...gets rid of small scratches and such and shines the paint, and then you wax....which is a protectant for the paint, and it locks in the shine.

 

The correct process is:

wash
clay bar
wash
dry
polish (if needed)
sealer (if needed)
wax

 

ok thanks never clay'd before. good to know havent waxed for this winter and next spring i think i will have wished i did.
