Question about painting fender flares...

I have color match flares and I've been thinking about painting them with rattle can bed liner. I know how to prep them and all that, but my question is "Do I need to spray the flares with adhesion promoter first or just paint them after sanding?" I've searched the sight and could not find if the promoter is even used. Thanks....

You probably don't need to, but if it says on the can of bed liner to use it, then use it. Otherwise, just sand the hell out of the flares (with bed liner you won't be able to see any potential sand scratches) to ensure good adhesion. Use a 400 grit paper. That'll do the trick!
