Plasti Dip Lower Valence

I've read that people have been cutting with a blade to get a nice edge and I've also read that you should just remove the masking tape right away after last coat any advice from previous users on a nice final edge? I don't wanna mess it up and have to start from scratch and I also don't want to cut into my clear coat.
