Went mudding a few weeks ago. Now would it be bad if I washed down the motor and everything else inside the hood? I don't want to screw anything up. Thanks

Stick a pressure washer in there(not too close...) and blast all that mud to heaven :) Then wipe the underside of the hood as best you can...i hate that some of the mud gets inbetween the metal where you can't get too..

After i came back from off roading the next day i spray the whole engine with simple green, let it sit, then rinse it all off and wipe clean then your good! :D

Just avoid getting water in your intake and dont prolong spaying anything electrical and you'll be fine

Always felt nervous with a pressure washer personally. Maybe it would've helped because I used a garden hose on light spray with a couple different kind of sponges. Also too the engine cover off because there was a ton more under there. Went back and did a chamois cloth wipe down, repeated once or twice as needed.

Went through this fairly recently. Will think twice about diving into mud after that. I couldn't even see the top of the battery when a friend lifted the hood on his truck after mudding.

You will be okay using a pressure washer as long as you dont sit there and hose it down for an hour. After you spray it off take a little drive to heat everything back up so it dries faster.
