Paint Chip Under Door (Help)

Hey all, I was washing my truck today and noticed something / someone hit and dented my truck right underneath my driver's side rear door. I already hit the bare spot with my touch up paint, but the edge of the chip (right side) is still cracked. What can I do to keep paint from chipping further and the bare metal exposed more?

I already have color match paint. I'm asking, how do I keep it from continuing to chip, now that it has an edge on it?

Sand it out and repaint the area.

You can use some touch up clear. It's a lot tougher than touch up base is, and will really seal the edge of the paint to the metal, so it won't chip any farther...

If you're going to paint it, just paint it. There's no reason to cover it with clear and then paint over it.

As far as just going cheap and easy ghetto "keep it from rusting" and don't care what it looks like... clear fingernail polish.
Anything you put on it is going to have to be removed before a professional can do a proper repair anyways.
