Fixing 1' scuff/scratch on white vehicle...

My wife backed into my truck this morning when leaving for work. I would go into detail, but it doesn't matter. My fault anyway, right?

Anyway, she hit my fender flare... doesn't really matter to fix it. Just some scratches. I want to put some Bushwackers anyway since it isn't the first time my truck flares get hit. Two flares now... only thing wrong with my truck. My wife has a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in white. I would like to fix the scratch/scuffs on hers. They're pretty visible. No dents and they don't look horribly bad in the sense of fixing it.

Any suggestions as to what products I should get? I have no experience in this and with the wife going into labor in the next few weeks, I don't want to spend the cash to bring it to a specialist. I do, however, have YouTube.

 

If it is just a scuff it will be very easy to take care of, especially on white paint. White is probably the most forgiving of all colors.

My short answer would be some mild polish and a microfiber and follow up with wax. Do not use 'rubbing compound'.

 

I ended up buying rubbing compound last night. Her car came out OK. She has some paint chipped off, but it's on the fiberglass. My truck is on my fender flare, so the scratches aren't coming off. I am thankful she didn't hit any metal.
