That thing is held in with clips so maybe either the clip is broken or not in all the way

Fog Light On, Hidden Garage Door Opener, Scanguage II, Weathertech Liners, Cig lighter always on, Door buzzer removed from dash- Upcoming: 5100s for front and rear, set fronts to 2.5" and Toytec AALs.
Try taking it down and inspect it. If I remember correctly there is a screw inside the sunglass holder and then pull down on the front. Thats how mine came down but I he the temp gauge so yours might be a little different.

I was always wondering what the technical term was for the overhead console. I now know it is called an "Interior Light Thing" :D

Yup, you have a missing or loose clip. Should be able to pull straight down to remove the left side clip to inspect. I hate those damn clips. I always feel like I am going to break one...and usually do!

I took mine down to see if I was pre wired for compass and temp. I know the probe is already installed. But letting you know that the screw is in the glass holder then pull down on the front of the console. When I did that the clips that hold the front of the unit were left up there. I had to pull the clips out and reconnect them to the front tabs of the console. Once you get it down you will see what I mean. You should have 2 metal clips on the plastic tabs at the front of the console and the rear part is held up by the screw in the glass holder
