So I took a new job a few weeks ago at an industrial paint yard and after washing my truck, I've noticed the finish to be a little rough after spray wax. It feels like little bumps. Also, if you look really close at the finish, you can see little black dots all over the vehicle. Is there any way to remove this and to prevent it from comming back. Is it paint overspray? I hope I don't have to have this happen everyday at work. Thanks for any suggestions.

clay bar typically removes overspray. Since it also removes wax, you need to re-wax afterwards.

Same thing happened to me. Some morainic company decided to spray something and it got all over everyones cars. Looks like white paint. I trie the clay bar and no luck. I guess I'll try mineral spirits next. If you go that route just be sure you try a small are thats not readily seen and be sure to wash it off immediately. Re-wax afterwards. I've done it before since this has happened more than once. I used a white rag so I can see if paint is coming off. Maybe I should put a disclaimer in here. "Anything you do is at your own risk." Just saying.

I've used goo gone and fingernail polish remover and it hasn't ruined my paint. but i still doubt its totally safe on our paint. its a good last resort

If it's not paint, my next thought would be rail road dust, sometimes small metal rail road particals can settle on your paint.

Besides clay bar, my next try would be Isopropyl Alchohol 91%, next would be an automotive paint reducer, if that didn't work then paint thinner. Don't worry it wont strip your paint, but I would wash it well afterwards then apply your polish and wax.
