Make your SR5 into a Sport!

My goal is to make my SR5 into a Sport model by painting the Grille surround, Mirrors, Handles, and bumper.

I have already preped and primed the Grille and Mirrors.

Tomorrow I will start on the handles.

If you guys want I can make a Pic by Pic DIY on what I did, what I used, where to get it, and What not to do to make your truck into a sport looking model.

It will take me a few hours to make the DIY, but if I get enough responses I will make one.

Just let me know

i heard the mirrors and handles have a coating on them that makes them damn hard to paint.. I'll be interested in this

Well I sanded lightly on the mirrors with 2000 grit just to rough it up, then threw some adhesive promoter on em then primed. So far so good

I should get the paint today! I'll keep y'all posted

the seats in a sport are SO much nicer than the sr5.. if i had known that fact when buying my truck.. that alone woulda changed everything.

that a/c outlet kinda sucks though. you could build one into your center console thats much better!

get ahold of tacoma world member "iamrayzian". ive seen his radiant red truck and he's painted everything and turned it into a sport.. its pretty impressive. He should chime in here somewhere....

I bought a Tacoma TRD Off-Road and had everything fully repainted professionally.

1. TRD Hood Scoop
2. Front Bumper
3. All Fender Flares
4. Rear Bumper
5. Side Mirrors

My truck is more "RED" that the day I bought it new from the Toyota Dealership.

I honestly say you should get it done PROFESSIONALLY!
