Hi I just removed all my emblems today using the hair dryer and fishing line method like the sticky thread above. It worked like a champ. I would like to paint them but I was wondering if anyone has tried the truck bed liner spray? I was thinking the Flat Black textured look would be awesome...

Replaced chrome badges with Sockmonkey black badges, painted billet grill black, K&N cold air intake, my corner light turn signal circuit, Speedfreek traction bars, RAAMaudio BXT/Ensolite, Stereo: Kenwood KIV-701 USB/Bluetooth deck, 10" Pioneer shallow sub behind the rear seat, Infinity 6822cf 6x8 front and rear doors, Fosgate P400-2 (sub), US Acoustics USX-4065 (four main speakers)
A texture might be a good idea. I painted mine black (non textured) after I took them off (1st gen) and I wasn't happy with the results. I took my time, but maybe I am just crappy with a spray can. A texture might hide imperfections. Also, consider going with vinyl decals. They make it much easier to clean your truck. I've had mine on for about four years and they look like new still.

Others have done them with bed spray so just depends on what kind of texture you want. Flat or gloss either one will look better then the chrome. ;)

I think I am leaning towards the bed liner spray for the ttexture. Did you guys prep the surface of the chrome?

Why didn't you just dip them? WAY easier, and it's removable.

30" led light bar, blacked out badges and wheel flares.
Plasti dipped the front grill and the wheel flares. I also did all the chrome badging. I think it looks tons better.

Don't know why but it's only letting me load one picture at a time.

How did you prep the surface? Paint needs a place to stick to, thus you need to scuff the surface, then clean it very well with some sort of soap at the least, or paint thinner, then soap. Then the paint will stick. Otherwise, it will simply bead off.

I derped mine with no problems. Had one attached to my grill for a while that I painted. Didn't have any problems. Did you prime it before painting? A few others used bed liner and they looked very good. It is my rattle can of choice for a lot of things.
