Removing Decals - Older Paint

    I'm hoping one of the paint or detail gurus can help me out here. I would like to remove my TRD bedside decals. I know how to remove them. Question is....

    My paint is in good condition, but being five years old, it is not perfect by any means. When I remove those bedside decals, I'm assuming there will be a pretty visible outline. What can I do, if anything, to remedy this? Would I be better off leaving them on?

    I would leave them, five years could fade the color of the car leaving the under side of the decal unfaded.

    Well i removed side decals and big TOYOTA on the tailgate of my 95 Tacoma like 2 years ago. I used 3M Eraser. Basically it goes on a power drill and its like a giant eraser, it takes off decals without any harm to the clear coat or paint. Works unbelievable. Trust me its scary at first but takes it off no problem. Then i used 3M rubbing compound twice and then waxed the entire area. Never knew it was there after 15+ years of it on there.
    So don't be afraid the decals are over the clear coat. The rubbing compound just takes a micro layer off
