I am not sure if this is the right sub thread section to post under but i was wondering if anybody here has painted their Tacos Flat Black. If so would you mind posting pictures of it. Thinking about repainting my Super White Tacoma

What's the benefit of a wrap? Will it hold up to off roading? Sorry just haven't heard of this. Definitely might be interested

I have seen wraps do pretty good but after a little while and in the mud a lot they do tend to unwrap.

So I am assuming it's basically a vinyl?

i hadnt thought of a wrap... a flat black wrap would be a pretty idea for those of us with base trucks, who have black trim everywhere except for the grill surround which toyota picked to be dark green(why toyota, why?)

Look in to plasti-dip. I've seen a few plasti-dipped and it's not bad. It's cheaper than paint, easier than vinyl sheet application, removable and looks nice. Go to dipyourcar.com

I looked into getting my hood wrapped. The installed said not to use hot water when washing, it will make the wrap shrink. So if a carwash uses hot or warm water it may cause shrinkage.

If your utimately over your white paint job than paint it the flat black that you desire. If not consider a vinly wrap.It can be removed and replaced.Depending on how extreme you offroad and the toll it takes on the paint finish doing a wrap might be the way to go for you.Good luck!
