I did my emblems (couple didn't turn out.. still working on it) but it dawned on me today that going the cheap way won't hold up to a pressure washer after a good mud run!

    Thoughts?

just about black everything. i don't dig the chrome.
i had mine kind of a mix of satin/ flat at first. the paint started to chip off with time. so i decide to re-attack and i went with the spray bed liner look. i fv*kin love it!! it made a pretty big but subtle difference in how rugged it looks. if rugged is what you're goin for, its something to consider. i would take a pic and show but i'm not in the states right now, so that poses a problem.

3M double sided adhesive. you have to cut it into thin strips so its stays hidden behind the emblem. don't do what i did the first time. i used a vehicle epoxy. i know i know, it was a stupid decision. it got all over the place, took the spray off the emblem, then turned yellow after time.

Do them in Carbon Fiber. If you wait a week or so I'll have some pics up of emblems that I'm hydroprinting. Just waiting on the carbon film to come in.

^^ so is there a write up on this? i saw in one thread that some guy was doing his interior (shift panel, radio, dash pieces) carbon fiber, but i don't think there was ever a how-to. if u have the time, i'd be really interested in learning how u did this.

Paint the front emblem matte black to match the grill. For the rest of the emblems, just take them off and leave them off. I debadged mine and it looks awesome.

Nice little cheap mod. I have a hard time deciding between flat black and not outing them back on.
