How to remove Pine Pitch

Any suggestions on the best way to remove pine pitch without damaging the clear coat / paint?

 

Bug and tar removers or clay bar

 

Would that be tree sap?

I used mineral oil on a micro fiber towel. Came right off, then I washed the area with soap and water. Mineral Oil shouldn't damage your paint, use sparingly though.

I use olive oil.

 

creamy peanut butter. my dad told me about it didn't beleive him but it works. after that wipe with some car wash soap to remove the oils from the peanut butter.

 

Clay bar it

 

Most solvents will do just fine. Just don't use anything acidic...that will eat the paint. Abrasives will also take paint off.

Solvents will take wax off in addition to the contaminants, but won't hurt the clearcoat. Just rewax the area when you're done.

Always start with the least aggressive method first and go more aggressive if that doesn't do it.
