How do you remove super glue from glass or a painted surface?

for glass.....you can use a razor blade and a lil lacquer thinner....from a painted surface, try soaking it in goo gone or goof off.....put it on a rag and set the rag on it for a while and it may loosen up.

Super glue remover is available at your local hobby shop.

I got some super glue on the counter top in my kitchen one time and this stuff cleaned it right off, and just before the wifey got home. *whew*

I just picked up a 2005 Corolla XRS. Previous owner re-attached the loose vent visors with super glue, and re-attached some little round mirrors on the side mirrors.

I'll look for the remover. I usually use a razor blade on glass, but mirrors scratch so easily.

Thanks Guys

All you need is acetone. Sometimes found in nail polish remover. Let it sit on the super glue area for a while. When you come back it'll peel/rub off.

Most things that will remove super glue will also remove paint. I would try scraping it off before I used any chemicals.

Goof Off 2 works great on paint and plastics. Just make sure you wash and wax the paint after you're done getting the glue off.

Goof Off 2. That "2" is important. Regular Goof Off is xylene-based and will eat right through most things.
