My plastic chrome grill surround looks sort of hazy and smudged. I think it may have always been this way from the dealership. Almost like there is water between the plastic and the chrome film. Can anything be done to correct this, besides painting/replacing the grill surround?

I hate the chrome. How hard would it be to paint?

The more I look at it, the more I would like it painted. I have no real experience painting stuff like that. I'm about 50-50 when it comes to handyman projects. Some turn out great, some always look like a do it yourself turd. Hate to mess up on an otherwise nice truck. May check with a bodyshop.

I hate my chrome grill too. Hey Rudbwoy7s, let me know how that goes and where you get it done. Might be interested getting mine done as well.

There's a place on the frontage rd in Harlingen called collision center, that's the place I plan on going when I have the dough.
