    Hey,

Just a couple issues for all the paint/detail guys.

When I look at the paint at the right angle, I notice dead spots. The roof is really bad and the hood is not quite as bad, but still noticeable. I tried the clay bar and waxing a couple times and nothing helped. It looks like it could be minor oxidation.

From what I've read on this site, the paint on the 2nd gen. trucks is not so hot. It does seem pretty soft.

Anyways, is this a polishing issue? That is pretty much the only thing I haven't tried. I'll take pictures after it stops raining. I really doubt it's anything too serious considering the truck is only an '06. Never know.

Thanks and any help will be greatly appreciated!!

    Nate

Well I don't have experience with that, but if clay didn't work then I'd give polishing a shot myself. Wax provides protection and shine, it doesn't actually correct paint problems.

PS polishing compound should do it, if not, do a light wetsanding with 2000 grit, then polish it.

^ Please don't sand factory paint! It is totally unnecessary and it is also dangerous.
