So I debadged my taco. It looks great...from a distance...without any sun on it lol. I don't know if I did something wrong but you can still see the outline of the letters and I don't want to put anymore elbow grease into it because as you can see it already looks like I managed to scuff up the paint. Any ideas on what I can do?

I had the same issues...go down and get some Maguiars Paint Cleaner and buff the area really well and then wax the hell outta it! A powered buffered would be ideal rather than doing it by hand

The outline will go away and look good as new

yeah i used goof off. I know a lot of people have used the goo gone and I haven't seen anyone have this problem. It looks like the goof off messed up the paint and i dont wanna make it any worse. I'm in Pound Ridge. Good to see another TW member in the area. You know any good places to take the taco off road around here?

It must suck. I am moving to Tully, NY soon. looks promising. If not I am at least closer to Rausch Creek than I was when I lived in Watertown.

I just used "Goo Off" thinking it was "Goo Gone" on a plastic roof rack wind fairing to get some sticker adhesive off. Took the glue, and half the wind fairing with it. Just about melted a hole right through the plastic. I hope it did not hurt your paint to bad.

Just as an FYI...WD-40, with a little more elbow grease, will take off any badge residue and will not hurt paint or plastic.
