I haven't got to my truck yet  It did work very well on my girlfriends white car tho, and the shine didn't come back until the wax step.

If you can find it the Mothers 3 step is decent by hand. The Meguiars polishes also work well by hand. It just depends on which is easier for you to find.

Thanks for all of the advice. Think I know what I need now, just have to get everything together. I'll be back with more questions you can be sure!

Hey guys just wondering if anyone had an idea on paintless dent removal prices. So basically my dad bought an brand new bsp Tacoma in 04/05 and she is now mine. My dad treated her like his baby but she ate up too much gas and she ended up sitting for a couple of years but at the same time collecting many scratches and dents. For the scratches I plan to just compound, polish and wax for the smaller stuff and use touch up paint for a few chips. Two weeks after I got the truck she was hit on the driver side door, goes from through the body line of the door down past the Tacoma logo, for this I plan to get a paintless dent repair person do it but there are also many less than a quarter inch dings and dents throughout the body and the roof. Anyone know the price range I am looking at? Is there a tool that I can use easily?

Mothers FTW. Meg's works well. :(

Cost should be around $100 for the PDR.

What would you recommend for cleaning the dashboard and other interior components? I don't use armor all because i have heard its bad for the dash in the Phoenix sun.

I generally just use water for weekly wipe downs and an all purpose cleaner diluted 10:1 when I need to clean door handles and dirtier parts every few months. I then dress the dash and panels with 303 aerospace protectant as I prefer a matte (factory) look.

Anyone else using Groit's Garage products? I have been using them for quite a while and have been very happy with them. Also bought my 3" and 9" buffers from them and have been very happy with those too.

Can anyone answer a question for me please. I have a scratch on my 2012 tacoma (Black), scratch is not deep, and I was wondering if anyone has used Quixx products for scratch removals? I know black is one of the hardest paints on a vehicle to keep up with, so I wanted to make sure I was using the right products to keep from damaging my vehicle. Any advice on this?

Here's a before and after of a little work I did on a bad scratch.. Using compound first, then polish then wax. I did it by hand as I don't have a polisher yet. I realize it's not completely gone, but it will be after a few more attempts, some practice, and possibly a power buffer. I didn't realize using dish sopa was that bad, but I've replaced the wax and won't use it again. Thanks for the info everybody!

Good work so far.. it's much less noticeable. I've got a couple that are only starting off as bad or better than your 2nd pic. Should be easy then.. Just not sure how to proceed without making things worse.

Just not sure how to proceed without making things worse. It's actually pretty easy, and if I spent a bit more time or had a power buffer I think I could make them disappear.. I used Meg's compound, polish and wax.. Read the instructions, watch a few vids on YouTube and you won't have any problems. It's pretty straight forward. The OP here has great advise too.
