Sanded and Bedlined Chrome Bumper

I got bored today, so I decided to take the plunge on a mod I had been putting off. I hated the chrome bumper on my Tundra, so I sanded the shit out of it with some 80 grain sandpaper, put a couple coats of self etching primer, sanded it some more, and slapped on 4 coats of Herculiner bedlining. What do ya think??

 

I think it looks pretty good. Great job! Do you have any before pictures to compare?

 

Yeah, I tried the Rustoleum on my step bars and it peeled pretty quickly.

UGLY MAN!! jk. it looks great and for some reason to me it gives the truck a better look.

 

NICE JOB!! That looks way better than the Chrome one. I did mine last year on the rear bumper but I used the Rustoleum textured Black paint. Since its on the rear it seems to be holding up quite well. No chips so far.

I want to to do the same thing to my chrome rear bumber, but line-X'd it!

 

Looks MUCH better and now the deflector complements the overall look.

Well, the reviews on the lugs have been mixed to about half for/half against. Not sure how I feel yet.

 

have you tried it with black lugs? i think it would look a lot better... oh yea, those rims are awsome!
