Microfiber cloth

How do you clean your microfiber cloths?

 

Yeah the stack in my garage is pileing. Also would save me some money on buying new ones.

 

I throw them all in the wash machine

 

Me too and dry them in the dryer

 

X3, come out looking like new

 

I've just always treated them like other towels and throw them in the washer and dryer

 

Just tried washing it in the washer with tide extra boost and some dish soap. It was a failed still stain on the towel.

 

I hand wash mine....

 

What I have done for years and what we recommend to our customers is washing them in cold or warm water in a washing machine, detergent only, no bleach or fabric softener. Wash only with other microfiber products.

Dry them in the dryer on low, no fabric softener sheets and again, only with other microfiber products.

I have cloths that I've cared for this way that have been through the process dozens of times and are still like new. I have a front-loading washer, which is gentler than a top loader, but a top loader should be fine too.

My problem with hanging them dry is if they take a long time to dry, they will gather dust and debris during that time.

EDIT: I run separate loads for the ones I use on wheels (yellow Costco ones). I'm paranoid about contaminating my 'paint only' cloths.
